A boulder dash it was but no find. I used two different GPSers to find GZ and surroundings but the cache eluded me today.

I called FishfulThinking on a whim to see if he's up for a road trip. We were out on the road heading for the Heartburn Series as soon as he got his permission slip signed. After the Heartburn Series on bike, we hiked up Mission Creek and as many drive-bys as we can get.

We both beat our personal best by finding 76 caches. Of all the caches we found, there weren't any DNF's. We kept on searching until it was found. It also means that the caches are well maintained.

Thanks for the fun!

So DEllner calls me late on Saturday and says, "Let's go Sunday to try to break our previous record of 60 caches in one day." So I got clearance from Poodle Girl1 and Doug and I met up at 5:30 AM. Out to do the Heartburn Series in Desert Hot Springs. Then we hiked the Mission Creek Trail and then picked up several caches nearby. All together we managed 69 caches in the day. Wow, am I tired. It was wicked hot out there today. It got to 100 degrees and the back seat of my Rodeo had 14 spent water and Gatorade bottles in it by the time we got home. We saw quail, lizards, lots of birds, chipmunks, but no snakes. Fun day. Thanks for your cache. We signed the log and returned it to it's place.
