The Woods Rd. Trailhead into Almaden Quicksilver Park is just a 15 minute drive up Hicks Rd. from Camden Ave. (easy access from Hwy 85). The cache is placed just a short distance (about 500')down the trail from the parking lot. There are no fees to park.
The gate opens at 8am, but there is parking across the road open at dawn for the early riser (my favorite time in the park).
Further down this trail you will find many other caches, including "Army Retired", and my own "Assume Nothing #3" (this cache is also the consolation prize if you cannot find the Assume Nothing cache... hate to bring you all the way up here for nothing!)
7/12/04-At the time I placed this, it was a little lonely up here. The neighborhood is a bit more crowded now, so just enjoy this step along the trail!
Cache is an ammo box, located just a short way off the trail. No bushwhacking or poison oak exposure required!
