A place to relax next to a major San Francisco tourist attraction.
This cache is located just far enough away from the tourist hustle
so that finding it will not require wading through crowds. It is a
nice spot in its own right, and you can see some of the park
gardens, a marina view and a sculpture. There is a small play
structure for young children nearby.
The cache is a a typical micro. It is placed just a few inches
off the ground in an area where you may be able to search for it
without attracting too much attention.
You may feel the cache container before you see it -- although
it is visible from an obscure angle -- so please be careful. Bring
a pen to sign the log. If you are visiting this area, let us know
where you are from when you record your find here.
Congratulations to GreatNate008 upon being the 1000th person
to find this cache! I am told that this is the first physical cache
in California to achieve this mark. Thanks to all who have visited
here.

January 27 by dlp8 (135 found) How can you beat finding a cache to the sound of barking seals! Visiting San Francisco from Salt Lake City for a business conference, so I didn't have my three boys with me. They are my caching buddies, so it was a little strange being solo. But they hate micros, so I probably couldn't have talked them into this one. Caching was a heck of a lot more fun than my conference, though! I found this one, but in a different "attitude" than advertised. It was about 9:30 on a Wednesday night, and not a soul around in a usually busy area. Thanks for getting me out here, and thanks for the cache. I'm just now getting around to logging the find, so I'm glad it has been replaced. Thanks, dlp8, aka The Mighty Cache-oo Hunters.
