This cache is situated in Cape of Ukonniemi near Imatran Kylpylä Spa. The Cape has been named after “Ukko”, also the god of Thunder and Lightning in Finnish mythology. There’s a nice view towards Lake Saimaa and the Marina.

The Cape of Ukonniemi is part of the Salpausselkä ridge, and there is a nice nature path around it. Try to avoid geomugglers becoming interested in the cache.
Driving directions: Take “Lammassaarentie”-road to the Imatran Kylpylä Spa. Park your car in the parking lot of the Spa or in the parking lot of the Visitor's Marina (Road sign: "Matkustajasatama"). The cache is quite easy to find and there is only short walk from both parking lots. You don't need the parking disc.
The cache is a 0,9 liter plastic canister with “Official Geocahce” -logo. It is hard to find in winter when there’s snow.
Original contents are: a key chain, an official Geocaching cache sticker, a toy car, a free ticket to the Spa and a comb-mirror combination. Logbook, pencil and stash note.
Ukonniemi itsessään on osa Salpausselkää, ja sitä kiertää mielenkiintoinen luontopolku. Koeta välttää herättämästä geojästien kiinnostusta kätköä kohtaan.
Ajo-ohjeet: Aja Lammassaarentietä Kylpylälle. Pysäköi Kylpylän tai vierasvenesataman parkkipaikalle (Kyltti: Matkustajasatama). Kätkö on melko helppo, ja kävely on lyhyt kummaltakin parkkipaikalta. Parkkikiekkoa ei tarvita.
Kätkö on 0,9 litran muovipurkki jossa virallinen “Geocache” -tarra. Kätkö on hankala löytää talvella lumen alta.
