This is a puzzle cache – the
co-ordinates above are not the cache co-ordinates but of a car
park in the area (you might find better parking closer to the
cache though). You should work out the cache co-ordinates before
you set out to find the cache. The cache itself is in an easily
accessible location. Happy hunting.
Having just found the last cache in Edinburgh, I thought it was
time for me again to hide one. I had left multi-caches to the end
of my hunt as I thought they would be long-winded and cumbersome
but I was pleasantly surprised. They turned out to be very
interesting, entertaining and offered a variety of different
challenges. So I would like to dedicate my new cache to Edinburgh's
multi-caches and hope to encourage more people to try them.
Edinburgh’s Multi-Caches
To do my cache you need to have found at least two caches from
the list above and a record of their final co-ordinates. It
doesn’t matter which caches, all you need is the minutes value (the
degree value is constant for all of Edinburgh) of latitude and
longitude for both of them. With this knowledge and the table below
the minutes value for my cache can be obtained with the following
method: For either latitude or longitude add the values from the
two multi caches together and then subtract the value from the
table where one of your chosen multi caches is the column and the
other the row.

Sounds complicated? It is not. Here is a made-up example:
Assuming you found GCH59Y at N 55°55.555’ W 003°33.333’ and
GCHBH0 at N 55°44.444’ W 003°22.222’ then you can calculate
the values for my cache as
Latitude: 55.555 + 44.444 - 60.777 = 39.222 --> N
55°39.222’
Longitude: 33.333 + 22.222 – 8.593 = 46.962 --> W
003°46.962’
Once you got the co-ordinates you can go out and find the cache.
It is a smallish plastic container (about 17cm*11cm*8cm) and the
new location is far easier to get to and should not require any
acrobatic skills. If you would also like to visit the old location,
