The Cache is located up at the Puketapu Cairn in Palmerston, The Cairn is in memroy of the Hon. Sir John Mckenzie K.C.M.C, M.L.C.
Allow 1.5 to 2 hours for this cache, the real fit run up there in half an hour!
The track can be hard to see but once you reach the big water tank it goes around the hill, we just went straight up, that was hard, it took as about 50 min's to get there.
Try and pick a nice day, the views are great, 360 degrees, plus you can climb up inside the Cairn.
The car park is at 75m the top is 350m, the is a sign post on SH1 in Palmerston.
The cache is a 1L snap lock container, with a few goodies in it
