Geocache Description:

This is a cross between a Mystery Cache, and a Multi-cache, you are on your own - find the sculptures and answer the questions to gain your co-ordinates to the final sculpture. Suitable for buggys - on both paths and cut grass. The above co-ords are for Car Parking.

This is a trail from the Norrie-Miller Park, through the Rodney Gardens to the Riverside Park, enjoying the Sculptures on the way. They are not listed in any order so you will have to keep your eyes open as you walk around.

Start at the above co-ords, this is also a Car Park, (Situated at the east end of the Queens Bridge down a 'hairpin' bend).

BENCHMARK - (An appropriate start). These sculptures follow the slope up and mimic the Ordnance Datum points which are used as a universal indicator of river levels.

.....

EVERGREEN - A pillar with images of the environmental thinking of Sir Patrick Geddes.

How many elephants are there? " M "

.....

RIVERS RACE PICNIC PLACE - A mix of oak, elm, limestone and glacial boulders, made into a picnic area.

.....

THE DANCE WITHIN - This is a copper totem pole which looks more like a tower of half eaten doughnuts.

How many whole doughnuts would this make? " F " (they may not join exactly - and include the uneaten one!) .

....

MILLAIS VIEWPOINT - This sculpture frames the view of the kirkyard beyond, where the wife and children of John Everett Millais are buried.

How many oak leaves can you see? " Q Z "

.....

WAVE ELM BENCHES - These benches use the flow of the wood to echo the nearby flow of the river.

.....

There are many more sculptures here, and also around the town, we just picked a few of our favourites for you to enjoy. Now proceed to our final sculpture at the following co-ords.
