This is a regular cache located in the Hunter's Creek area of South Orange County, along picturesque Shingle Creek. There is no defined trail to the cache site, but it should be very easy to reach, even during the rainy season, if you take the high road. Access it from Town Center Blvd. via the western bank of the creek.
Shingle Creek is at the northern end of the river basin that feeds into the Everglades down in South Florida. The creek originates not too far from Universal Orlando. It drains into lake Tohopekaliga in Kissimmee. The Kissimmee River flows out of Lake Toho (as it's known) down to Lake Okeechobee, which feeds the Everglades (as well as various South Florida cities). Parking is non-existant near the cache. The closest parking is about a quarter mile from the cache, and perhaps a third of a mile walk. Park on one of the nearby neighborhood streets (I recommend Brookmyra Dr.). Do NOT park in Osprey Park, which is a private park for Hunter's Creek residents only. They will ask you to leave. You can NOT reach this cache from the Greeneway (FL 417), although it might appear that way on a map.
Please done not attempt this cache at night. Flashlights, strange noises, and/or voices in the dark will appear suspicious to nearby residents or passing law enforcement.
