This cache is located on the Pioneer Trail in Bear Valley. It is in a cammo cylinder about 3X6 inches containing the usual stuff.
At the July, 2004 RCGDS picnic and water fair I craftily posted a set of coordinates and nothing else on the bulletin board just to see what would happen. Basically it was like casting a lure in a pond of hungry fish. Fortunately (for me) I had made up a cache and hidden it because thirteen dedicated geocachers walked the half-mile to the cache and found it. I shudder to think what would have happened if there was no cache. This is that cache and now it can be legally claimed. There are several caches in Bear Valley, enjoy the day and this beautiful area.
Sept.8,2004 update: Park at N39°18.560 W120°41.034, but don't block the gate. Walk about 200 feet down the road and you will be on the Pioneer Trail. Continue .35Mi to the cache location.
