We planted this cache on July 12th to honor Daryl's (Team Nohoch) birthday. Daryl (and Jamey) have been so instrumental in bringing cachers throughout the desert and southern California together. How could we NOT plant a cache on his birthday? Happy Birthday, Daryl!! [:D]

The cache container is hidden in a Phoenix dactylifera, or at least a close cousin to it. Terrain rating is because it is not wheelchair accessible.

Cache container includes log but no pencil. Please bring a writing implement. Parking is available just feet from the cache.

Please be sure the cache it is returned to its nesting place and replace camo material to prevent plundering. Thanx and enjoy

I had business in Palm Springs and decided to grab some caches while I was here. This was my second day in the Springs. I got to GZ and after Googling info in the cache description, I made a quick grab. I then used my iPhone to post a field note ... or so I thought. I generally leave myself a note telling myself exactly where I found the cache so that if any friends call for a lifeline, I can provide it. When I then convert the field note to a log, I leave off the location and post a proper log. However, for some reason, all except 1 of my field notes for the day posted as logs. I discovered this only after the cache owner deleted my log on this (which I saw by way of e-mail). Of course, as a result, I had to edit every one of my logs so as not to give anything away. Sorry. And, as if that was not bad enough, in nearly 4 hours, I found only 2 or 3 caches, and racked up a mess of new DNFs. I guess I'll have to return.
