Nurmon ensimmäinen geokätkö on kolmiosainen multikätkö, jossa
siirtymää kohteiden välillä on linnuntietä yhteensä noin 500 m.
Varsinainen kätkö on pienessä ryteikössä, joten hyvissä vaatteissa
sitä ei kannata etsiä.
WRESTLING STATUE
The first geocache in Nurmo is a multicache of three phases, where
total distance (direct line) is about 500 meters. The cache is
located in a small thicket, so you should not wear your best
clothes.

Osa 1. (annetut koordinaatit)
Aloituskohde on valtakunnallinen painijapatsas Nurmon
kirkonkylässä, kunnantalon vieressä. Painilla on Nurmossa pitkät
perinteet ja patsaan paikalla oli ennen painikämppä Jymylä.
Urheiluseura Nurmon Jymy on perustettu 1925 ja patsas on pystytetty
25.8.1984. Kuuluisia nurmolaisia painijoita ovat olleet mm. Jouko
Salomäki ja Juha Ahokas. Kuinka monella rivillä patsaan laatassa on
kirjoitusta (kirjaimia ja numeroita)? Rivien lukumäärä = A.
Seuraavan kohteen koordinaatit lasketaan näin:
N 62° 49.aaa, jossa aaa = A * 180 - 23
E 022° 55.bbb, jossa bbb = 279 / A - 77
Lisää tarvittaessa etunollat saadaksesi kolminumeroisen
luvun.
Osa 2.
Saavut erään toisen "kämpän" lähistölle, suorakulmion muotoisen
aidatun alueen portille. Kuinka monta tolppaa on aidatun alueen
"kämpän" puoleisessa päädyssä (portin kulmatolppaa ei lasketa)?
Tolppien lukumäärä = B.
Kätkön koordinaatit lasketaan näin:
N 62° 49.ccc, jossa ccc = B * 70 + 12
E 022° 55.ddd, jossa ddd = 161 / B + 38
Lisää tarvittaessa etunollat saadaksesi kolminumeroisen
luvun.
Osa 3.
Kätkölle on matkaa 2-paikalta n. 50 metriä. Kätkö on musta
filmipurkki, suunnilleen polven korkeudella maasta. Varo
piikkilankaa kätkön läheisyydessä! Etsintää voivat hankaloittaa
kesällä aluskasvillisuus ja talvella lumi. Kätkön ei kuitenkaan
pitäisi peittyä lumeen.
Part 1. (given coordinates)
The first target is national wrestling statue in Nurmo centrum,
near city hall. Wrestling has been very popular sport in Nurmo for
decades and formerly there was a wrestling hut "Jymylä" at the
statue site. Sport club "Nurmon Jymy" has been established in 1925
and the statue is published 25th August 1984. Jouko Salomäki and
Juha Ahokas are the most famous wrestlers from Nurmo. Count the
number of written rows in the statue's plate. Number of rows = A.
Calculate the coordinates for next target:
N 62° 49.aaa, where aaa = A * 180 - 23
E 022° 55.bbb, where bbb = 279 / A - 77
Add leading zeroes if necessary to get 3-digit numbers.
Part 2.
You will arrive near another "hut", to the gate of a fenced
rectangular area. Count the fence pillars of the gable nearest to
the "hut" (building). Number of pillars = B (do not count corner
pillar of the gate).
Calculate the coordinates for the cache:
N 62° 49.ccc, where ccc = B * 70 + 12
E 022° 55.ddd, where ddd = 161 / B + 38
Add leading zeroes if necessary to get 3-digit numbers.
Part 3.
Distance from second target to the cache is about 50 meters. The
cache is a black film canister, at knee-level. Beware of barbed
wire near the cache! Undergrowth in summer and snow in winter may
make it more difficult to find the cache. It should never be
covered with snow.
