Geocache Description:

2 on terrain because of the short hike required.

Near the Bizz Johnson Trail which runs between Susanville and Westwood. The entire trail is 25.4 miles long but you'll only need a couple of miles of it. Start at the restored depot for a map and bike rental if you want. N40 24.673 W120 39.589.
The closest trailhead is the Hobo Camp Trailhead. N40 24.949 W120 41.958.

The Fernley and Lassen Railroad was built in 1914 to service the town of Westwood. It was used to haul logs, milled lumber and passengers for over 40 years. In 1978 Southern Pacific abandoned the line and it was converted to a multi use trail.

Enjoy the trail as it follows the Susan River on foot, bicycle, horse or cross country skis. It is beautiful any time of year.

Please be aware the trail is often busy and you shouldn't attract attention.
