Geocache Description:

A cluster of interesting spots up a (reasonable) logging road south and east of Nelson. A short 40 minute drive should get you there.

Another in the series of great picnic places, that the dog loves but with a twist.

Take bug spray in the summer.

Other than the cache site, which is very rustic, there are two other points of interest.

1. An interesting geological point at S 41° 29.695 E 173° 05.326 .... follow your nose.

2. Great swimming holes at S 41° 29.921 E 173° 04.780

The cache is a camo 100mmm round container with the usual stuff, notebook, trading items, pencil and sharpener.

Enjoy the area.
