Kornberg Multi-cache

Um die Aussicht auf dem Kornberg genießen zu können, empfehlen wir diesen Cache bei Wetter mit guter Fernsicht zu suchen. Die Gesamtweglänge beträgt etwa 3,5 km (inklusive Rückweg zum Auto). Bei entsprechendem Wetter kann man sehr gut seinen Drachen mitbringen und steigen lassen.

Von hier aus geht es auf den Kornberg

(Auf dem Weg dorthin kann man einen sehr kleinen Umweg über "Zum Taunusblick" machen, von dort hat man eine schöne Aussicht Richtung Süden. Von dem Aussichtspunkt aus kommt man auch einfach -an einem Trigonometrischen Punkt vorbei- zu den angegebenen Koordinaten.)

Auf dem Kornberg findet man an den obigen Koordinaten eine Steintafel mit Entfernungen, die helfen, diese Fragen zu beantworten:
A = Knoten - Greifenstein
B = Wie viele "Strahlen" gehen von der Mitte aus?
F = Quersumme der Entfernung nach Hohensolms (Beispiel: 36km -> 3 + 6 = 9)
(Nur als Hinweis, wenn man vor Ort ist und die restlichen Angaben auf der Tafel betrachtet: Die Geomuggel haben natürlich mal wieder ihre Namen verwendet, in Wirklichkeit ist es eine Entfernungstafel zu verschiedenen Geocaches: "Radio im Rücken, Fernsehn voraus" ist 33 km entfernt, die "Wilhelmsteine" nur 15 km (die in östlicher Richtung), der "Big Boy Multi Cache" immerhin 57 km ... ;-) )

Bei der Alten Rheinstraße handelt es sich um einen mittelalterlichen Hauptverkehrsweg aus Richtung Thüringen zum Rhein. Sie verlor mit dem Bau von Eisenbahnlinien und Landstraßen ihre Bedeutung.

To enjoy the view from the Kornberg, we recommend to search this cache when the weather permits a good view. The paths are in good shape. The area is suited well for flying a kite, so you may want to bring yours when there’s appropriate wind.

(You might want to follow the sign "Zum Taunusblick": it’s a small detour but you have a beautiful view to the south. You will find your way to the Kornberg coordinates quite easily from the view point; you’ll pass a "Trigonometrischer Punkt”, something like a benchmark.)

At the given coordinates you will find a stone-table with distances which will help you to find the solutions for these riddles:
A = Knoten - Greifenstein
B = How many "rays" are coming from the middle?
F = Cross sum of the distance to Hohensolms (Example: 36km -> 3 + 6 = 9)
(Just a hint: when you read the numbers on the table: The Geomuggles did use their names for places but actually this is a distance table to other geocaches: "Radio im Rücken, Fernsehn voraus" is 33 km away, "Wilhelmsteine" only 15 km (to the east), the "Big Boy Multi Cache" a little farther with 57 km ... ;-) )
