Geocache Description:

A cache as big as the Northwest in honor of displaced northwesterners...

Very large ammo box (found at one of the last great surplus stores, down in Moss Landing). Stuffed with all sorts of goodies, & worthy of the short hike up.
Hidden in "Nurse Dave" style (though I could not find any poison oak in the area).

The trail is an access point for the Sierra Azul and you will pass some of the best views I've seen of the Bay Area! On the morning I placed this I could clearly see SF, the entire South Bay, and down to the Gilroy hills. I don't know how far the trail goes... this was as far as I got carrying this monster. My Garmin topo map shows this may go all the way up to El Sombroso.

12-21-04: Marky was kind to point out that I must have rated the terrain on a really hot day with a 30 lb. cache on my back... I am lowering it to 2 star.

On the way in, be sure to visit my Secret Trailhead cache, GCKCTM.
