The Rocket will never leave Earth! But there's lots of fun here!
The entrance to Funkawan View Park is along Route 37 at 42°
35.429N, 140° 41.759E. There, you can walk or drive further up
into the park where you will find a wonderous view of the bay
below. There's lots to do. A relatively new activity called Park
Golf can be played here, you can climb, slide, and soar, too.
You'll be so busy you may forget to locate the cache.
By the way, during the winter season, this park may be difficult
to navigate. Prepare yourself with a shovel to dig through at least
a meter of snow to reach the cache.
Small note on cache maintenance: I travel to that
area yearly and I've got a friend locally who will assist me with
cache maintenance if needed.

On my way from Onuma Quasi National Park to Sapporo, I noticed that this cache was only 0.1 mile (160m) from the tracks. Unfortunately, the closest station is Toyoura, which is about 1 mile (1.6 km) away, and Limited Express trains don't stop there. On my return trip, I decided to get off the Limited Express Super Hokuto at Toya, take the local to Toyoura, then walk the rest of the way. Fortunately, I noticed a rental car agency inside Toya Station, so I drove to the cache location instead.  Once near the coordinates, I noticed a bag that was exposed near a stump. Inside the bag was a water bottle with a "Geocaching Germany" marking on it.... found it! I rehid the cache inside the stump. The park hours are from 9:00am to 17:00, and there are gates so keep that in mind. I enjoyed the observation tower, the rocket, and even tried one of the play structures! I also visited the Toyoura Indian Waterwheel Park about 1.5 km away, highly recommended during autumn to see salmons swim upstream. Thanks for the cache!

大沼国定公園から札幌に行く途中 キャッシュが線路から160m離れた所に置いてあるのを観察しました。但し、一番近い駅は豊浦駅でキャッシュから1。6km離れていて、特急列車は通過します。札幌から帰る時には洞爺駅に降りて、普通列車で豊浦駅まで乗ってそこから歩くのに決めました。洞爺駅内に駅レンタカ-があったので計画を変えて運転をすることにしました。 座標の近くには切り株があり、その近くには隠されていない袋が置いてありました。その中には "Geocaching Germany" のシ-ルを貼っているボトルを見つけました。 キャッシュは株の中に隠しました。 公園の営業時間は9:00から17:00です。ゲ-トがあります。気をつけてください。展望台からの眺めとブ-メランクライマ-を楽しみました。この後、インディアン水車公園に訪れ、サケの溯上を楽しみました。 ありがとうございました。

We´ve visited the Funkawan View Park on our bicycle trip through Hokkaido. All brushes have been cut down.
In order to keep the cache alive we created a new one, close to the old location. The Owner has been informed.
The new coordinates are: N42 35.352 and E140 41.860Greetings
