Hvidsten Kro nord for Randers var under den nazistiske besættelse af Danmark under 2. Verdenskrig hjemsted for Hvidsten Gruppen. Den legendariske kroejer, Marius Fiil og syv andre medlemmer af gruppen blev henrettet af nazisterne den 29. juni 1944.Gruppen opererede ved en lang række nedkastninger at våben , inden Gestapo den 11. marts 1944 omringede kroen.Cachen ligger på det område i Allestrupgård plantage hvor nedkastningerne fandt sted.
