The Berkshires' first "TB exchange only" cache located near the intersection of Route 7 and Route 2 West in Williamstown, MA.
With all the tourists visiting "America's Premier Cultural Resort" year-round, there is certainly a need for a Travel Bug (TB) resort in the area. This is a 5 x 5 x 9 inches cammoed lock-and-lock container. The posted coords is an average of 6 readings obtained from my upgraded Garmin. There is poor GPS signal in this area year-round so I strongly suggest that you use the hint. It is a park and grab cache , just an ultra-short uphill bushwhack from the yellow-blazed trail. In the warmer months, the kiddies can wade in the small pond nearby. The water there is diverted from Hemlock Brook in the warmer seasons. In the off-season the mini "beach" is dry.
Now for some house rules (revised as of 9/21/2007) : IF THERE ARE ONLY 3 TBS INSIDE : please take a TB only if you leave a TB. Otherwise, please just log your visit. IF THERE ARE MORE THAN 3 TBS IN THE RESORT: please feel free to take a TB even if you don't have a TB to trade. I just want to make sure there are at least 3 TBs here at any one time since I don't want the resort to go out of business. I also don't want this resort to be a TB prison and I want to keep the TBs moving hence the flexibility in the house rules.
There are only 3 TB guests in the resort on its Grand Opening Day so the innkeeper put up a "Vacancy" sign. Spread the word--this TB resort is now open for business!
October 27, 2006 Update:
There were too many TBs that went MIA in this resort so I had to relocate it . Hopefully, the evil TB "kidnapper" is a muggle who does not read this website. Please be stealthy while retrieving/rehiding the cache especially during peak season and please hide it well.
