Geocache Description:

Sunday, October 24: spend the day geocaching in the Thousand Islands, and then we'll meet up in Gananoque to share stories and food.

Update: The event has been moved to 5:00 pm at MacNeils Landing restaurant in Gananoque.

There are lots of geocaches on various islands in the St. Lawrence Islands National Park and if you have ever been tempted to rent a boat and go out to find them, now is the perfect time to do it. The bugs are gone, the trees are changing to their fall colours, and admission to the park is free after Thanksgiving. So, what are you waiting for? Go and get 'em! ;)

We'll meet at MacNeils Landing in Gananoque (790 King St E) at 5:00 pm and talk about our adventures.

Info about the islands and waterways in the Thousand Islands, as well as some very nice maps, can be found in the Thousand Islands Water Trail guide book. The Admiralty Islands are covered in route 3.

If you have an FRS radio, keep it tuned to channel 2 throughout the day, and use channel 12 as an alternate. You never know when other geocachers might come within range!
