An easy walk on some new paths through one of the Island nicest glens (in my opinion!)
Recently Molly Quirks Glen has had a new section of walks opened up to public access on the Baldrine side of the valley thanks to a very friendly and generous landowner.
They are very well laid out trails with lots of benches and seats and I'm sure in the summer they will be a very nice place for a picnic.
The cache is situated between two paths. Please do not try to drop down to the cache from the top trail as the cache is only just above the lower trail. If you are heading downhill of a track to the cache then you've gone the wrong way !
The cache is a 35mm film canister. As its so small there are no gifts in the cache - there is also no pen to record your visit so you need to bring one with you. The log is on the back of the "What is a cache" notice.
The GPS signal was a little flaky despite no tree cover. I waymarked it 8 times and averaged it. In the time it took me to position the cache (about 2 mins) the averaged waymark managed to move 15 feet.
