langbach: The cache has been muggled a couple of times and since we are about to move to a different part of Copenhagen we have no intention to replace this cache.

The place is still worth a visit but hiding the cache properly has become almost impossible lately so this cache is no more.

Geocache Description:

Please note that the cache has been replaced but on a sligthly different spot
Enceinte is french for rampart ("Volden"), and in this case the rampart surrounding Copenhagen.

Vestvolden (The western rampart) is the fourteen and a half kilometer rampart/embankment to the west of Copenhagen.

Situated at about a nine kilometer radius from the center of the old city, it was established as a part of the city's defense lines, along with the lowlands to the north which were capable of being overflooded and with the sea fortresses built upon the artificially built islands in the sound to the east of the city.

The construction of Vestencienten employed some 2,000 laborers. A great number of the laborers were Swedish guest workers, which were well acquainted with the building of stonework.

The cache is placed on the rampart close to Mørkhøj. It is a 0.75 l plast box containing logbook, FFC and trade items.

Nearby, at N 55 43.059 E 012 28.564, there is a nice picnic area with a grill and a playground for the kids!
