Cache is a micro pill bottle with only logging room for name and date, please post stories online.

Welcome to the location of Moncton's most famous urban legend. Rebbeca's Grave. It's not actually IN a graveyard, but that's part of the story... Anyhow, I just recently told my son Nassau Jr. the story and he though it was a great place for a night cache. I decided however the location is better seen and enjoyed during the day.

When I moved here, I heard the stories at High School, my brother and sister both tell me they heard the stories as well. There have been even some write ups in the Times & Transcript about it.

As the legend goes, Rebbeca was accused of witchcraft in the Moncton area long ago and hung. It's said she was buried face down so that if she tried to claw her way out, she would claw her way to hell. In addition to this, the poured cement over the grave "just in case". Depending on who you ask there are variations of the story, and apparently there WAS a Rebbeca Lutz who lived in a farmhouse which has since been torn down. The reality of the legend is that this location IS an actual grave site. It was fenced off and there were at one time headstones as well, but those have long since disappeared.. The slab was actually placed after the Lutes home & land was sold and the slab was placed to prevent unintentional damage from farm equipment. Other variations of the story which I personally remember are: At midnight, on a particular day at midnight, you'll see a path open up into the woods, which will lead to a cabin. Who ever goes into the cabin is never heard from again. Another story mentions that the cement slab cracked when she tried to escape. There are varing stories about how deep she was buried as well from 6 (standard) to 13 feet down. If you know of other variations to the legend, please do post em...
