Geocache Description:

Guajome Park offers visitors a unique blend of history and outdoor experiences. It is located near the border of Oceanside and Vista. At the SE end of the park stands an Historic Adobe Ranch House built in the 1850s. Tours are given on the weekends for $3. The Antique Gas and Steam Engine Museum is near the adobe and well worth a visit. The park is large so check the maps and times for information on the adobe and museum before going. You will probably want to drive to them from the cache area. For more information about the park or adobe, click here: park and adobe

This cache is an offspring of Viridian Queen cache, (at: GCHYGH) and is located on a short path off the nature trail in the park. There is free parking just outside the park entrance on North Santa Fe Ave., or you can pay the $2 parking fee for the park. The easy hike is about 1/3 of a mile one way if you park outside the park. The cache is now a small plastic container. It requires no bushwhacking or trampling of plants to find it. Always be aware of the "sensitive vegetation" signs in the area and stay on the trails.
