The locale of this multi-cache loop is the southwest quadrant of the contiguous Noanet/Hale woodlands. It is designed for those who enjoy a pleasant woodland stroll, and who would find satisfaction traversing some of the smaller and quiter paths in the area.
The cache is most easily accessable from Powissett Street, just east of the fields of Powissett Farm. There is limited (but usually available) off-road parking at the gated trail entrance. Additional parking is also availabe about 300 yards down the road.
All GPS points are slighly off trail, so there is no need of exstensive bushwhacking. Intermediate waypoints are CD jewel cases or white plastic pill bottles, while the final cache is the traditional tupperware type container. This cache is not recommended for small children, bicycles, or during snow cover. Have fun, and feel free to email me if you need assistance!
2/16 Note: Parking is now in the newly constructed Trustees of Reservation parking lot off Powissett Street. This makes the hike to stage 1 a little longer but not unreasonable. I also moved stage 1 back about 10 feet so it would not be in such a visible location should it slip from its hiding place. I changed the coordinates to reflect this.
