Best parking is on Thayer road- immediate left after small stone bridge. Short steep climb up high point of flood control dam.
This is a state owned flood control dam,but the land is managed by the New Ipswich Conservation Commission . This area has a wide variety of plants and wildlife habitat including woodlands,old fields with brush,mowed fields,shallow water marsh,bog and open water.Animals seen here include beaver,muskrat,mink,otter,fox,racoon,deer and moose.Also a wide variety of waterfowl.This cache was my 5 yr old daughters idea. She just loves hiding caches. This is her 6th cache she has hidden.We hope you enjoy the hunt."KEEP ON CACHING"
