Geocache Description:

Just a little game within the game.

The DOD has been experimenting with some minaturization techniques to see if they could minaturize a battleship. This DOD container is nuclear green and is full of failed shrinking experiments. We found this set of instructions nearby. Feel free to try your own experiments:
Instructions to Shrink Plastic
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees
  2. Cut plastic into workable sizes
  3. Round the edges of the plastic so that the sharp edges will not cause injury
  4. Sand one side of the plastic with fine sandpaper so that it can be drawn on with colored pencils. This step can be skipped if only using permanent markers (do not use permanent markers on the sanded surfaces as the color will bleed).
  5. Decorate the plastic.
  6. Cut the plastic into desired shapes. Now is a good time to punch holes. After the plastic shrinks, it is too brittle to cut or punch holes in.
  7. Place the plastic, colored side up, in a cookie pan and place in the oven for about a minute. It will melt and curl up but should return to its original form once it has finished shrinking.
  8. Remove the pan from the oven. Do not touch because the plastic is very hot. Use a spatula or oven mit to flatten the plastic if necessary.
  9. In about a minute it will be cool enough to handle.

This shrinking plastic can be found for free. Look for items with a on it. Clear plastic works the best. The lids from subway salads work great. Use the flat areas for best results.

Beware: poison oak has been sighted near the cache.
