This is a 2 part multi. From the parking area this will be around a 2.7 mile round trip. There are however other access points along Commack Rd. Both parts should be faily easy finds. Terrain has minor elevation changes.

The name will make a whole lot of sense after finding both parts. There are some areas that are restricted but there is no reason you would have to go there. If you find yourself in front of one of those signs, you made a wrong turn. Cache is located on NYS DEC lands.

The cache is located just off the trail. Look for several, small, downed pines.

Cache Logs
July 13 by Surferjo (180 found)
The Long Island Land Lizards took to two wheels today to see if we could finally finish our last few in Edgewood.

This cache truly did drive me insane. I was out here in the winter and found Pt. 1 but ran out of daylight and didn’t get a chance to find Pt. 2. Today on the other hand, was a different story. The GPS put us in the general area but once we got within 50 ft of GZ it went crazy. 5 steps inside 50 ft and I would drop from 6 birds to 2 or 3. If you look at our track log it looks more like the path of an escapee from a building on the other side of the fence.

Eventually we decided to rely on common sense and some good old fashion Geo-wisdom. Found it within 2 minutes.

It was so nice to finally add our Sig Card and rubber lizard to this cache.

SL Thanks for a great multi.

Interesting hide for part 1. You're right... now I get the cache name (and the hint). Got some other closeby caches before heading off to part 2. Part 2 was a little exposed so I tried to cover better than found (but hint item is still quite prominent). TNLNSL. TFTC.

Our first multi.! Had a great time. First part was very clever. We could see it from a higher trail but thought nothing of it at first. Did most of it the hard way, and bushwacked through. SL TNLN

#768 This was a fun multi in Edgewood Park. The first section was surprising in the middle of the woods, and the second we stepped over when we thought we were looking further in. We made the corrections and smiled at our silliness! Thanks for the fun, have a fuzzy day, Ferreteers
