Our friend Elin, EMC of Northridge CA having started geocaching in May 2003 is now celebrating her 4000th find, that's an incredible average of 7 caches per day!

In addition to her geocaching exploits, Elin actually finds time to pursue her singing career.

The cache you are seeking was, in a former life, a rectangular metallic storage container used by the military. It has now been recycled as a part of our fun game.

The cache is 1.6 miles from Wildwood parking lot, off of the Santa Rosa Trail.

This hike is not suited for children or inexperienced hikers. In fact I suggest that you do not try this by yourself. Be sure to wear hiking boots, long pants, and a long sleeve shirt. A hiking stick will NOT help you on the steep part.

As a tribute to Elin this cache has many musical-themed items, including maracas, guitar picks, a portable radio and finders will sign a log made of sheet music paper! Please try to follow the music theme, or trade items that remind you of Elin!

Happy hunting!

a pretty easy hide although getting to gz from the west earned me my stars. had a nice rest in the cave which is where i think i made a wrong turn. even the geodog was cursing a little at my persistence on rock climbing. thanks for a nice hide in an awesome place!!! (Rated 4 stars with GCVote)

Found it with Punchy et. al. Don't try this without sufficient daylight. Climb can be very steep and at one point you go through a mini-tunnel.
Return via trail.

OK, it is getting cold, this is the last cache and we do not have time to go back the way we came. What do we do? Bail off the cliff and hand the kids down one by one! I guess we will spend a bit more time reading the logs prior to embarking on another epic geocache event in Wildwood. TFTC. ComeGetMe and Puncy had a blast and the kids will not forget that hike for a while. WooHoo!

It was almost completely dark when we got to this cache! We used a flashlight, and oh! there it is! TFTC!

I didn't think that we would be able to find this one because we had almost completely lost the light by the time we arrived. But luck was with us, and the cache was right there in the first place I looked. Dropped off a travel bug. SL. TFTC! (We came up by the trails, but bushwhacked back down the face, in the dark, without running into a single cactus or yucca. Good times. )
