Dieser Cache ist Teil des Cache-Projekts „RING OF EIFELFIRE“, das zu Orten mit Spuren und Hinweisen auf den Vulkanismus in der Eifel führt. Die Startpunkte liegen in der Eifel um den Cache "Höllenschlund". Dieser muss zuerst gefunden werden, weil seine Nordkoordinaten (NUR°EI,FEL) zum Auffinden der Caches „RING OF EIFELFIRE“ benötigt werden.

"Basaltismus"

Der Basalt des Vulkankegels bei Hoffeld wurde ab 1850 planmäßig abgebaut und bis 1984 für Deich-, Straßen- und Eisenbahnbau genutzt. Auch der Hindenburgdamm nach Sylt besteht teilweise daraus. Da das Betriebsgelände nicht rekultiviert wurde, entstand eine eindrucksvolle fjordähnliche Landschaft. Vom Startpunkt guter Blick auf die Zielgegend.

An den oben genannten Koordinaten findest du einen kleinen Rastplatz mit einem Minigarten. Stelle dich vor ein Tor. Die Torpfosten sind mit Winkeleisen angeschraubt. Ein Winkeleisen musste ausgeschnitten werden, um das Tor zu befestigen? Das Rechte (A = 1), das Linke (A = 2).
Bei einer Bank neben dem Garten hat man nicht an Schrauben gespart um die Sitzfläche zu befestigen. Zahl der Schauben B5.

Reizvolle Fahrtstrecke mit dem Auto ca. 10 Minuten.

Suche auf einem Kopf ohne Burg oberhalb eines HaZweiO-Spiegels. Mit den Steinen, die du dort findest, hätte man früher eine Burg bauen können. Heute versteckt man damit einen Cache. Wir würden den Cacheort sogar beleuchten, wenn der Stromanschluß ganz in der Nähe noch intakt wäre.

This cache ist part of the project "RING OF EIFELFIRE" and show you hints of volcanism in this region. You have to start everytime with the north-coordinates (NUR°EI,FEL) you will find in the cache "Höllenschlund".

At the coordinates given you find a small garden with a gate. The gate is mounted with angels. One of the angel is cutted, the right one (A = 1), the left one (A = 2).
Count the screws for mounting the bars at the sitting place. Number of screws B5.
