Bring beach gear as this is a great beach area. Easy dirt path with parking either end.
Cache is in a big plastic jar. This is a pretty new coral lined path at the ocean's edge. Cache is on the makai side of the path. (Mauka means volcano side, Makai means ocean side, aina means land. These are common terms in Hawaii.)
Cache was replaced Feb. 16, 2012 when reported missing. There is clear access but you need to do a few feet rocky climb down off the path. Whatch out for muggles as this cache disappeared once.
