Dieser Cache ist Teil des Cache-Projekts „RING OF EIFELFIRE“, das zu Orten mit Spuren und Hinweisen auf den Vulkanismus in der Eifel führt. Die Startpunkte liegen in der Eifel um den Cache "Höllenschlund". Dieser muss zuerst gefunden werden, weil seine Nordkoordinaten (NUR°EI,FEL) zum Auffinden der Caches „RING OF EIFELFIRE“ benötigt werden.

„Baustoffansammlung“

Der Vulkangarten am Steffelnkopf erlaubt einen Blick in die Vergangenheit dieses Vulkans. Aus Erdspalten, bizarrem Gestein, roten Schichten aus einer vorvulkanischen Wüsten- und Saurierzeit und einer mächtige Wand des halb abgebauten und freigelegten Schlots ist ein überdimensionaler Steingarten entstanden.

Station 1
Parkplatz an den oben genannten Koordinaten. Hier findest du auf einem großen Schild viele Informationen über die Gegend. Der Ort deines Parkplatzes ist eingezeichnet mit einer Zahl.

Folge dem Weg, den dir weitere Schilder weisen zu einer Aussicht, wo du tiefblickend Reste einer ehemaligen Baustoffansammlung siehst (Spoiler 1). Hier geht es weiter zur Station 2.

Hier gibt es in der Runde etwas zu zählen und du kannst in Himmelsrichtungen blicken. Irgendwo hat sich ein Metallbearbeiter mit einen Datum eingraviert. Dessen Namen?

You can park at the given coordinates. There´s a sign that shows you the number, where you are.
