Geocache Description:

This is a small cache with a pretty cool view of water spilling over the Clementine Lake Dam.  You might want to bring a camera for this one.
Be sure to bring something to write with to make your log.

Completed in 1938 and from private funds, the dam was built to collect sedimentation from upriver hydraulic mining. This kind of mining was done away with shortly thereafter. Clementine Lake is now used exclusively for public recreation.

You can get here by taking Clementine Lake Rd. from Foresthill Rd. or you can take a very nice hike from the confluence. You can go to: ASRA Canyon Keepers and download a trail guide and map.
There are also many mountain bike trails in the area.

Please log your find or no find online so I will know how the cache is doing. If you feel my coordinates are off please post your coordinates with your log, so that I can make any necessary adjustments.

5/1/05 Update
I have changed this from a micro to a very small cache. I feel this is more appropriate for this location. Please bring something to write with. And have fun!
