Geocache Description:

An ideal lunch time scoop in a historically interesting area.

Having enjoyed a bit of lunch time caching (well quite a bit actually) there is I feel a need for some urban hide aways this is one of those almost in the heart of Dunedin city. Bell hill was historically as high as first church is now, however the hill was excavated back in the 1800s. Interestingly the sea used to extend to the base of the hill. This micro cache is hidden in a very obvious place and during a good storm would have been blasted by sea spray (that was then not now). You do need to be tallish to reach the cache or have a long arm there is a piece of string attached to the lid to assist in its extraction. Attack the find from the bottom of the cliff definately not the top.! The location could be busy at times with Muggles so a bit of stealth may be required. While you are in the vicinity why not visit the Celtic cross and centopath which is just across the road. The closer you get the poorer the signal.
