This cache has been archived.

Krypton: As there's been no response to my previous note, I assume that the cache is not going to be repaired or replaced, so I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it

Thanks for your cooperation!

Geocache Description:

This micro cache is located at the trailhead to the Artemas Ginzton Pathway on the southern part of the Byrne Preserve in Los Altos Hills. It's a plastic solder tube with a log sheet. Please bring your own pen or pencil.

Edward Ginzton was co-founder of Varian Associates, one of the leaders for completing the Stanford Linear Accelerator (SLAC), and a pioneer in radiation therapy for cancer treatment.

His wife Artemas was a teacher and an environmentalist, responsible for preservation of the Fremont Older house, converting lighthouses into hostels, and was involved in the development of bicycle trails along the California aqueducts.

This Los Altos Hills pathway was created in her memory.

There's street side parking for one car across the street from the posted coordinates, and parking for 2-3 cars about 100' southeast. All the parking are along the eastbound traffic side.
