Vestereng (western meadow) is an old military excercise area and has been since approx. 1870. As far as I have been able to figure out the military stopped using it in 1978, allthough the nationalguard used the firing range until 1987.
But eventhough it been a long time since it was a military area, there are lots of traces from this time: Old bunkers, the disused firing range, remains of fences, obstacle course and much more.
Today the area is open to everybody and is vividly used by motionist and people walking their dog.

Cache contents at deployment: FFC, logbook, pencils + sharpner, small whistle, 2xAA batteries, scoutpatches, chestnut, filmcanister with sunflower seeds.
