The NEW cache is located 180 metres from a perimeter walking track in Nelson. The original cache went missing, so replaced with a new cache in the same general area.
The cache site is about a 30 minute walk (return) from the beginning of the track. To walk the entire track will take from 1 to 2 hours.
SORRY!!! No dogs or cyclists are allowed on the track!
The track combines great views of hills behind the city, Tasman Bay and Rabbit Island. Exciting things may also happen while you are there. GPS reception should be excellent. Suggest you park near S 41° 17.968 E 173° 13.690
The cache is a 600ml camo-painted screw snap-lock container. Ideal size and location for a travel bug. It initially contained a log book, pencil, one 'signature' item and numerous trading items.
Be sure to carefully replace the cache.
