This Mokomoko recognises the rich history of animal life inhabiting this area. It also commemorates the finishing of the first stage of the CMJ (Central Motorway Junction) project in 2006, designed to get Aucklanders moving faster.
To claim this mystery cache you will have to count the number of bronze bands on it's body, from nose to tail.
Multiply this number by 2 then add the reverse of the number. e.g. AB x 2 + BA.
Then head 179° (Mag) or 160° (True) from the nose XXX meters.
PLEASE WHEN YOU FIND THIS CACHE TAKE GREAT CARE TO REPLACE IT IN EXACTLY THE SAME PLACE YOU FOUND IT, IT HAS SUFFERED FROM CACHE CREEP WITH CACHERS NOT REPLACING WHERE THEY FOUND IT!!
