El Arbol Grande Traditional Geocache
Pockets DJ: Time to archive the cache. I have enjoyed reading comments and photos that have been left by cachers. It sounds like it is missing or buried and I will not be able to check it for awhile and my contact is away.

This is the first cache in the Lake Chapala area of Jalisco, Mexico and is meant to be an easy find.
The container is now a small round plastic bottle with gray lid with “Geocaching, Arbol Grande’ printed on it – thanks to Meru. (See log on Aug 5, 2007 by geocacher “Meru” for more information on cache treasures - and nice photos). From photos it appears to be in, or close to its intended location. It is hidden along a public trail which is a northern extensión of La Calle ´Puesta del Sol (Street), starting at the Caretera (highway) in San Antonio Tlayacapan. The ¨co-ordinates for the starting point is N 20 17.815, W 103 14.326 which is the first street east of the Cervasa Corona Building.
The trail can also be accessed from the Libramiento Ajijic – Chapala, (The Ajijic – Chapala By- Pass) at the east side of the Áves del Parisio´(Birds of Paradise) Condominiums. The starting point is N 20 18.135´, W 103 14.243´ and the trail is more of a dirt gravel path.
The cache has had four containers in its history – the latest is located at the second large tree when approaching from the south. The cache is hidden at the base of the trunk in a small hole in the roots – entrance covered by a couple of rocks – no digging necessary. I did not see any army ants or other insects but a glove would be good to use.
Approach from the south side of tree. Be discreet as the trail is busy at times.
