Valentins dag / Valentines day
Valentinsdag er altid den 14. februar.
Helgenen som vi forbinder med valentinsdag er Sankt Valentin, der angiveligt led martyrdøden ved halshugning den 14. februar omkring år 269 e. kr.
Skikken med at sende kærlige kort, små hilsner og chokolade og andet stammer fra USA og England, og slog først igennem i Danmark i slutningen af 1990’erne.
I stedet for at sende blomster eller chokolade, kan man invitere dem man holder af på geocaching. Valentin har i hvert fald med denne cache gjort sit til, at man kan få en god dag. Parker ved parkeringspladsen N55 40.386 E011 48.905 og tag stien langs vandet og nyd udsigten.
Når man er tilbage på parkeringspladsen, kan man købe en is til sin valentin!

The day is called valentines day after the saint Sankt Valentin, who sufffered a martyrdom on 14 th february about year 269 B.C.
In USA and England there is a tradition, where you give the one you love flowers or chocolate or small gifts. The tradition came to Denmark in the late 1990.
Why not invite the one you love on a geocacher-trip instead of sending flowers or chocolate. Park at the parkingground N55 40.386 E011 48.905. And walk along the path near the water.
When you are back at the parkingground, you buy an icecream for your Valentine.
