Victoria's most Northern Webcam Cache
To do this Virtual geocache, you will need,
GPS, or local knowledge.
Mobile phone.
Friend with a net-connected computer and a phone.
Willingness to have your picture posted here.
Ok. Now for the fun bit:
At the posted co-ordinates above you will be able to see the camera to the east on the water tower(top painted black) behind the hotel at the next intersection. Position yourself near the Fountain to get your picture taken in your favourite pose.
Call your geo-friends and get them to access the webcam on the net (visit link) Have them navigate the webcam to find you at GZ in your classic pose holding a Geocaching item (Logo page or a gps will do) , zoom in and take a snapshot! Upload it to this cache page and log a FIND. Thats all there is to it!
Note - it may be wise to visit the Webcam page beforehand to get some practice finding the correct location and operating the camera controls. If your computer blocks popups you may need to hold down the 'Ctrl' key when you mouse click the snap photo icon.
Unlike static webcam caches , this is a Webview- Livescope webcam and the user has full control – you may have to wait your turn to take control though!
Find logs without proper pictures will be deleted.
I do not own and have no control of this WebCam.
If the WebCam is not working, a photo taken of you at GZ will be accepted, but make sure that you are seen in the picture, and at the cache site. If possible try to return to the location later and try again.
