Jan Amsterdam heeft op 21 maart 2005 een schat verstopt aan
de kant van een weg ergens in Nederland. Hij meet in de nacht van
21 op 22 maart de hoek met de Poolster en de horizon in een weiland
met vrij zicht. Hij leest op zijn sextant de Noord positie af. Deze
is N52.26º. Op deze positie komt een tijd later de zon op om
06:34:08 uur locale tijd. Hierna meet hij de afstand en de hoek van
zijn meetplek naar de cache. De afstand is 175 meter met een hoek
van 237º magnetisch.
March 21, 2005, Jan Amsterdam has hidden a cache somewhere in
The Netherlands at the side of a road. In the night of March 21nd -
22st, he measures the angle between the horizon in an open field
and the North Star. On his sextant he reads the North
coördinate: N52.26º. A little later at this same position
the sun rises at 06:34:08 local time. Then he measures the distance
and angle from his measuring point to the cache location. The
distance is 175 meters with an angle of 237º
magnetic.
