Year 1918. Finland has just achieved its independence and there people are divided into red and white ones. A civil war has begun. This cache represents one of the results of the war; it is a small monument for the memory of those 27 who were executed on the same place in 1918.
How to arrive: Your journey starts from the crossroads waypoint, where you need to take turn from tarmac to gravel road. At the first crossroads, take right and then you will see a black sign leading to the cache. After a couple of kilometers you will arrive to crossroads and see a small parking place made of small stones. There is a path made of those stones. Follow it - there will be no sign here. If you’re lucky, you might get a small guide with four feet and much hair. But beware – it may take a wrong turn on the path and mislead you.
When you’re there, you can take a short break. There are some benches around to sit on. Relax and listen to the sound of finnish nature.
The coordinates have been measured carefully using averaging. However, the GPS coverage in the cache area is poor due to the trees – use of the spoiler image and hint is recommended. Cache might be accessible during winter with the help of the hint and spoiler pic, but I cannot guarantee it.

Parin kilometrin päästä saavut kivisen parkkipaikan äärelle. Parkkipaikalta johtaa kivinen polku muistomerkille. Jos olet onnekas, seuraasi saattaa littyä nelijalkainen ja karvainen opas. Mutta varo – se saattaa kääntyä polulla väärään suuntaan.
Muistomerkin äärellä on pari penkkiä, joilla voi levähtää jos matka on ollut rankka :-)
Koordinaatit on mitoitettu keskiarvottamalla moneen kertaan. GPS-tarkkuus kätköalueella on kuitenkin puista johtuen melko huono, joten suosittelen spoilerkuvan ja -tekstin käyttämistä. Kätkön voi löytää myös talviaikaan vihjeen ja spoilerkuvan avulla, mutta en uskalla antaa takeita sille.
