This multi will show you some of the less well known areas of Hobarts’ Domain.
Every one knows the Botanical Gardens, Government House but what about the site where the last captive Tasmanian Tiger was held.
At this location answer the following:
“A” – the zoo was closed on 25 November 193A, and
“B” - it is said the limit of a lions jump is 1B feet.
The co-ordinates for the next step are
S 42 52.16A E 147 19.73B (using A and B obtained above)
This will lead you to a little known building built by convicts. Here you will be able to answer the following:
“C” - the external sandstone walls are nearly C metres thick, and
“D” - this site was built by convicts between 185D and 1858.
The co-ordinates for the next step are
S 42 51.7CB E 147 19.2DD
Here you can enjoy the view, and the BBQ’s nearby if you wish, then answer the question:
“E” - The Coastal Wireless Station was established in 1E12
And the co-ordinates for the next step are
S 42 51.E4D E 147 19.5CB
You can park your car here, perhaps read the display boards on what this area is about, and then walk to the cache. The final co-ordinates to the cache can be obtained with some simple maths
“F” = A - D, and
“G” = A - C.

If driving this cache should take you less than one hour. You could walk but there is over 1 km direct line between two of the waypoints.
