A somewhat challenging cache on a newly built bike lane segment near the Stanford Golf Course. Subtitle: Rusty Truss
Best if visited by bicycle. Closest parking is on the newly constructed Sand Hill Frontage road. Cross at the traffic signal. For a nicer stroll park on campus near the corner of Searsville and Oak. Parking is easy on weekends or after 4:00 p.m. on weekdays. At other times only 4 metered parking spots are available for those without permits. If you do choose this route visit the Ohlone historical marker at N37 25.722 W 122 11.007, or perhaps you can catch some fancy horsemanship nearby at the Stanford stable area.
PLEASE STAY OFF OF THE GOLF COURSE. The cache is not located there.
No need to crawl or creep underneath though leaning and groping is required. Magnetic, but that doesn't limit things very much in this case.
