This puzzle is based on the original Ground Zero cache and others in the GROUND ZERO series. The following series of numbers will provide the information you need to identify the cache location:
01000010 01101111 01101100 01110100 01101111 01101110
Now that you have determined GZ, make the following adjustment (N-.006, W-.048) due to the fact that GC.com has changed the method for determining GZ... once again!
Before you head out, it would be a good idea to check your solution here: Geochecker.com.
If you can't get SUCCESS with Geochecker, don't dispair. It probably means that you've used a different method to determine GZ. Try N + 0.178 W - 0.002 instead of those above. Please don't try to find the cache without a successful geocheck. It's not such an easy hide.
Please note the manner in which the cache is hidden and try to re-hide it the same way. Do not give any additional information about the cache in your log, even if encrypted.
Difficulty rating is based on the assumption that you have found one or more of the other GROUND ZERO caches and have developed a workable strategy.
Cache update: The cache location was muggled sometime between 12/17/05 - 1/2/06. Consequently, we have moved the cache container to a new location and are allowing re-finds.
We have placed something unnatural very nearby the cache location to help you find it in the snow.
