Geocache Description:

As part of the Third Annual International Cache In Trash Out Day, Northern Michigan Geocachers will be sponsoring a "Cache In - Trash Out" event on April 16th, 2005 at the Grayling City Park and Railroad Museum with a Meet & Greet to follow.

With the assistance of the Grayling City Manager, Allen Lowe, and Grayling DPW Director, Chad Beckett, a full plate of clean-up and general spring cleaning chores has been arranged. Bring your work gloves, rakes, shovels, brooms, and garbage bags.

After the the clean-up we'll head on over to BC Pizza (N 44° 39.446', W84° 42.599') for some food and fellowship. Management will give geocachers a dollar off of each buffet ordered. BC Pizza is a smoke free establishment!

Schedule:

  • CITO: 10 AM - 12 Noon or thereabouts
  • Still working out other details
  • M&G at BC Pizza: 2 PM - 4 PM

Though you are encouraged to attend both the CITO and the M&G, you need only to attend one to log this event, but, if you attend both feel free to log this cache for each event!

Please Note! Space is limited at the BC Pizza venue to about 40 people, so please RSVP to the cache page by April 11th to hold your seat.

The Northern Michigan Geocachers (NMG) is a loosely organized group of geocachers who get together regularly throughout the Northern Michigan. Meetings are held monthly throughout the area and are posted as an event cache on www.geocaching.com. The groups main objective is coming together in order to socialize in a family friendly atmosphere, discuss our activities, plan and execute various larger events, promote the educational benefits associated with geocaching, contribute group volunteerism in our communities, forests and recreational areas as well as increasing traffic at our local caches. We are looking for pro-active and pro-participative geocachers from throughout Northern Michigan that are willing to help us reach and support the group's objectives. If you are a resident of Northern Lower or Upper Michigan, please join us. Meetings are open to the public.
