Start:
Station 1:
Berechnet |
X |
= |
B * ( I + E ) + J * ( I – F ) – C * D |
und |
Y |
= |
K / ( B + C ) + E * H + ( J – I ) |

Erstinhalt:
Logbuch und Kugelschreiber zum Verbleib;
kleine Steine zum Anschauen und/oder Tauschen (Achat, Amethyst,
Aquamarin, Aventurin, Erdbeerquarz, Magnesit, Rosenquarz, ...
)
Mail-Message.
Auf dem Weg zu diesem Cache scheint es (kleine) Fallen zu geben;
Fallen befinden - danke!
Viel Spaß bei der Suche!

Start:
At the given co-ordinates you stand in front of an object that
reminds you of a man whose name is probably more famous than he
himself.
He invented a toy that today only a few people know of. As happens
so often with inventors and inventions the hard working siblings
sold it „for a song“ and somebody else earned millions with it.
Take the first 5 letters of the name of this toy and assign
their position in the alphabet to the variables a, b, c, d, and
e.
You get the co-ordinates of the next stage by subtracting b * d
+ c milliminutes from the latitude (N) of the start co-ordinates
and adding ((a + b + d) * e – (d – a)) milliminutes to the
longitude (E) of the start co-ordinates.
Stage 1:
From here on follow the path of things that show up from time to
time. Find the vertical distance in feet, that you can proceed
(without getting your feet wet). Round this distance to 5 feet and
assign it to the variable f.
You get the co-ordinates of the next stage by subtracting ( b –
d ) * ( d + e ) milliminutes from the latitude (N) of the start
co-ordinates and adding ( a + b ) * ( f – d ) milliminutes to the
longitude (E) of the start co-ordinates.
Stage 2:
Where you stand now something has existed; under which name has it
been built and operated? The name is constructed from three words.
You need the abbreviation from the initials of the three words.
Take the 3 letters of the abbreviation and set their position in
the alphabet for the variables g, h, and i.
Here you add ( ( g – 1 ) * h + i ) milliminutes to the latitude
(N) and you subtract ( g – 1 ) * i milliminutes from the longitude
(E). Go there.
Stage 3:
You are standing in front of a non-monolithic object. Count all
parts within the immediate vicinity – the ones that are not
directly connected, too. Assign their number to the variable
j.
Assuming this object would be what you might think it could be,
"find out" (estimate, guess) how long the object would have existed
here – round to 1,000 years. Assign this duration to the variable
k.
Now you should have enough information to limit the possible
positions of the cache.
Calculate |
X |

B * ( I + E ) + J * ( I – F ) – C * D |
and |
Y |

K / ( B + C ) + E * H + ( J – I ) |

Add X to the latitude (N) of the start co-ordinates and Y to the
longitude (E) of the start co-ordinates.

It is a 1.1 l box, which has not much room for TBs or bigger
objekts for trading.
Initial contents:
Logbook and ball-pen to remain in the cache;
small stones to look at and/or trade (Achat, Amethyst, Aquamarin,
Aventurin, Erdbeerquarz, Magnesit, Rosenquarz, ... )
It would be nice, if only named stones would get into the cache by
trading.
Total distance over all stages is less than 2.5 km (one
way).
It is possible that the tour needs to be suspended - even several
times! - for gaining information.
If you want your solution checked I'm happy to answer your
mail-message.
On the way to this cache there seem to be some (small) traps;
please, do not give away warnings in your logs where these traps
are - thank you!
Have fun!
