Pain in The Cache - Navigation
As many experienced cachers know, there are certain factors that make finding a cache difficult. This series of caches is placed to explore these barriers and put cachers through their paces dealing with them.
This cache is called Navigation. It takes you through a portion of Kettle Morraine State Forest - Southern Unit, near a segment of the Ice Age Trail. This cache is a multi-cache with small camoflaged vials hidden with instructions, each leading to the next hide. Parking can be found near the first stage coordinates.
Here are your first instructions for Navigation:
When you arrive at the starting coordinates, there will be an information kiosk. If you face in to the rear of the kiosk, you will be facing a cardinal compass point. If you add this value, in degrees, to the decimal parts of N42 48.384 and W088 39.145, you will have the coordinates for the next. Instructions are found in each vial to lead to the next.
Note: A special code is added in each individual cache to find a final cache that will be tied in with all the other caches. Keep track of these codes to locate the final cache.
ANOTHER Note: Kettle Morraine is full of nasty thorns, brambles, insects and ticks. Survey your route and don't bushwhack unless you have to. Not only will you save your skin, you will have less impact on nature!
See if you have what it takes to beat the P.I.T.C.! Good Luck!
