In a canyon and up a fairly steep slope for the last 2-300ft.Cache is a regular sized Ammo can with a white top.
Take the Warner Valley Rd. to the Ft. Pierce ORV Ridge Trail parking lot. We parked at the East end at N37 00.589, W113 24.079. This parking area is about 1/2 mile East of the Ft. Pierce turn off. Go East out of the lot on the Ft. Pierce Ridge Trail. After the trail goes across the Ft. Pierce Wash it takes a sharp turn to the right. Do not take this turn, stay straight ahead. The third wash from this point has a rock cairn at N37 00.370, W113 23.653. Turn to the right and follow this wash. After about 1/10 mile the wash splits. Take the left fork. After about a mile it turns into a nice canyon. After you pass an old cow fence look up to the right and you will see a large black rock with a crack in it just below the cap rock. This is where the canyon opens up.
The hike up the wash is easy but the last 2-300ft up the slope is a fairly hard climb up the hill. This is what the rating is based on.
