Geocache Description:

Ritter Waldi hat zu Lebzeiten einen schönen Schatz angehäuft. Bis heute ist er auf der Burg versteckt. Der Cache ist absolut gefahrlos zu finden. Also bitte nicht auf die Mauern klettern!

Ausgangspunkt für diesen Cache ist Waldenburg. Parkplätze gibt es bei der Post oder beim Gerstel (N 47°22.844 E 007°45.054). Oder noch besser: Nehmt die Schmalspurbahn von Liestal bis zur Endstation. Nach dem Verlassen von Auto oder Zug geht es etwa 20 Minuten bergwärts. Verschiedene Wege führen zum Ziel. Schöner Ort für ein Picknick. Ein Spaziergang durch das historische Städtchen Waldenburg (mit vielen Restaurants) lohnt sich. Napoleon hat im "Gasthof zum Schlüssel" übernachtet.

The treasure of Ritter Waldi is still hidden in his castle. You will find it in a spot that is absolutely safe to access. So please don't climb the walls!

Start your trip at Waldenburg. You can leave your car next to the post office or at Gerstel (N 47°22.844 E 007°45.054). Or even better: Take the narrow-gauge train in Liestal, get off at the final stop. There are different paths leading to the cache. You will have to walk about 20 minutes uphill after you have left your car or the train. Take along a picknick. Stroll around historic Waldenburg (with many restaurants). Napoleon spent a night at the "Gasthof zum Schlüssel".
